NOW PERFECT SWEET

Now
as the Ego fades
as Darkness lifts
Sunlight invades
I can no more
keep up the walls
Gods perfect love
declared, fall down
No strength have I
to resist, disdain
the love I’ve so sought
but never gave
Now
in its’ Perfect Presence
Now

A prayer
for revelation
inspiring the soul
enabling feet
to finally traipse around
balletic, soft
without a sound
Delighting in
the privilege of the Day
A prayer
a breath
A prayer
a Saving Grace

Oh
how we fight
try to argue
justify
the gift
that we recieve
despite
our bumbling Indecency
sure we’re
Unworthy of the Kindness
we so need

Now
Tired and weak
we drink so thirstily
Meekly smiling
overwhelmed by sunlight
all we really want
is less than we need
Now
we’re offered Everything
The Kingdom come
when we sacrifice
Fragile humanity
Now
Perfect Sweet
So loved, aren’t we?
